Bonjour Mom and Dad:
What a fun day we had today
at Cranston’s Carnaval station! Thank you to the parent volunteers who helped
today to help the event run smoothly. Bonhomme the mascot for Carnaval even
visited us!
We had a wrap up assembly
after to sing some songs and we even watched a news broadcast interview of what
Bonhomme does after Carnaval.
Today we did some
instructional writing on “How to make a friend”, we used what we know about the
acronym S.A.D. to make sure our directions made sense! Remember that S =
sequence word, A = action word, D = detail word.
Question of the day: Post on
the blog what some of the stations that you went to during Carnaval.
Love,
The Rainbow Triad
Housekeeping:
- If you
are interested in bringing valentine’s cards for your child’s class, we will be
handing them out tomorrow. We would recommend you write just “From: (your
child’s name)” instead of writing all the names of each student. This will make
it easier for them to hand it out to students. Please note that bringing
cards is optional! We will be handing out cards separately per class so
bringing enough cards for just your child’s class would be recommended. Thank
you!
Mrs. Ly =
21 students
Ms. Deobald
= 19 students
Mrs. McEvoy
= 22 students
- During the next couple of weeks we
will be painting using acrylic paint. This paint will NOT come off your child’s
clothing. We will try to ensure the all students are using the paint cautiously
but accidents to happen. Please send your child with a paint shirt or old
clothes that can withstand paint stain for next week. It could be an old large
t-shirt, apron etc.
Mrs.
Ly’s fieldtrip forms for Ann & Sandy Cross have been sent home today.
Please read over all of the information, sign and date, and return it to school
with your child. Our fieldtrip is on Monday February 23.
- There
is now school on Thursday and Friday for Teacher’s Convention and no school on
Monday February 16 for Family day!
