Dear Mom and Dad:
We had fun with our Tanga art project today. Ask me to tell
you what steps I did today with a pencil and then glue. We had fun discovering
different shapes of snowflakes with our snowflake catchers and wonder windows!
*Please read our housekeeping items.
Question of the day: What winter activity did you do on the
weekend?
Love,
The Rainbow Triad
Housekeeping:
- We need some empty containers for Monday for paint. This weekend, if your family eats any yogurt or fruit containers or have old margarine containers, cream cheese, dips etc. please rinse them and send them with your child, no lid needed. Sending just one container in will make a big difference. Thank you! We will be happy to take these off your hands. :)
- Next week we will be painting using acrylic paint. This paint will NOT come off your child’s clothing. We will try to ensure the all students are using the paint cautiously but accidents to happen. Please send your child with a paint shirt or old clothes that can withstand a paint stain for next week. It could be an old large t-shirt, apron etc.
- Cranston will be celebrating Carnivale this Tuesday Feb 10. This event takes place outside for most of the time. Please ensure your child is dressed appropriately for the weather. Students may be on their hands and knees in the snow so snow pants are highly recommended.
- Please remember that all special Tanga T-shirt orders and due by February 10th! We hope that you will consider participating in this part of our fundraiser. T-shirt size samples are available to look at in the office. We will be encouraging all students who have purchased a shirt to wear them the week of our Tanga event!
- If you are interested in
bringing valentine’s cards for your child’s class, we will be handing them out
on Wednesday February 11. We would
recommend you write just “From: (your child’s name)” instead of writing all the
names of each student. This will make it easier for them to hand it out to
students. Please note that bringing cards is optional! We will be
handing out cards separately per class so brining enough cards for everyone in
your child’s class would be recommended. Thank you!
Mrs. Ly = 21 students
Ms. Deobald = 19 students
Mrs. McEvoy = 22 students
- Bonjour mes amis!
We are looking for parents to assist with our
Carnival activities on Tuesday Feb 10. There will be stations set up between
10:30 and 1:30- led by teachers with your support. Volunteers are asked to meet
in the hub at 10:30 for a quick debrief, assist a classroom with station set
up, stay with that station, and then assist with transporting station materials
back in again.
If you are interested in joining us for our winter
celebration, please email Shannon McMaster at Cranston.Volunteers@Outlook.com
