Dear Mom and Dad:
What an excited day we had today! Today is Music Monday and
at 11am today, we sang the song “We are One” by Connor Ross. At this time,
millions of people all across Canada were singing this song at the exact same
time! Some of our friends who were in choir went to downtown today and they
were actually on the Live Feed which we got to see them singing! In the
afternoon we watched the performances for the spring concert tonight. Only
students who are involved in drum fit club and choir will be performing
tonight.
Ms. Deoblad surprised us today by showing us a special box
that she had. Ask me to tell you what was inside! Do you remember back in
October where we looked at pumpkins and pumpkin seeds? We watched a video about
a “seed vault” where there is a collection of thousands and thousands of seeds
from all over the world. This is an important vault because should a seed go
extinct, we could bring it back by planting the seed in the seed vault. We connected
this to our pumpkins where generous parents donated about 13 pumpkins in all. Ms.
Deobald collected all of the seeds and let them dry for 3 months and today we
planted the seeds! It’s amazing what one person can do to make a difference in
the world. “Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing’s going to
get better, it’s not” – Dr. Seuss
Question of the day: Think of something that you can do that
will make a big difference in the world and post it on the blog!
Love,
