The Giving Tree

Dear Mom and Dad:

We will be building our boats tomorrow. We watched a video of a fish vessel that was sinking. We then brainstormed what kinds of shape would work best for our boat and what materials would work. . If I have any materials at home that I think could help me build my boat, please send them in with me tomorrow! If you have paper towel rolls, cardboard, newspaper, toilet paper rolls, plastic bottles, we would love to use them tomorrow. Thank you so much!

At the end of the day we went outside and looked at the trees that were around our school. We read a story called “The Giving Tree”. We have adopted a tree and will come up with stories and wonders about our tree.

We continued to work on our basketball skills. Ask me to tell you what skill we are working on.

Our 30x30 activity today: Adopt a tree: We adopted a tree!

Question of the day: What do trees do for us?

Love,
The Rainbow Triad

  4. Tori: Trees give us paper, produce oxygen to breathe & give us shade. We can build stuff with them & if you burn them they give us heat.
