HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

Dear Mom and Dad:

Wow what an amazing and busy last day we had today before winter break! Today was also Mr. Link’s last day with us. We all signed a book for him. It was the first book he had read to our class. He made a special card for us with a nice message inside. We will truly miss him and wish him all the best of luck.

We all got the opportunity to explore Ipads this morning during daily 5. We will be introducing the next choice in Daily 5 called “listen to reading” and “word work” where we can use the Ipads to help with this part of the literacy component.

In the afternoon we worked hard wrapping our gift to you and making a special card. I hope you enjoy it :)

We read a book called “The Wild Christmas Reindeer” and made some special Magic Reindeer Food.  Ask me to tell you what is in it and what I need to do with it on Christmas Eve. We talked about different places I can sprinkle it to attract the reindeers!

We were then off to dance as we did some groovy moves to some holiday music and then ended off the day with caroling. Mr. Southworth made a nice video slideshow of all the things that we have done so far in the school year. It helped us remember all the things we have done such as: Pinwheels for peace, Terry Fox Run, Peace Assemblies, Remembrance Day Assembly, Read-a-Thon, Christmas Concert, Math & Literacy Night, Drumfit.

Question of the day: Post your plans for the holidays!

Have a safe holiday with all of your friends and families.

Love,
The Rainbow Triad

Dear Parents:

What an amazing year we have had so far. In just a short period we feel so lucky to have such an amazing triad with such great students. Thank you for all of your kind words and wishes. We wish your family a great holiday and happy new year.
