Lorne Kelly

Dear Mom and Dad:

Today Lorne Kelly visited our classroom. Our teachers were so proud of us! We were very respectful as he shared his paintings with us and learned how to draw two different pictures. Ask me to share with you what two different paintings I did. We used watercolor pencil crayons to color our work and tomorrow we will add color. Ask me to share with you what his style is like.

We gave him a special pumpkin plant as a thank you. Some of us even asked for his autograph. What an amazing experience to have the opportunity to learn from a real artist.

Question of the day: What did you enjoy most about Mr. Kelly’s visit.

Love,
The Rainbow Triad

SANDWICH MAKING
For those families who were at Cranston last year, you will remember our Sandwich Making Community Project (donations went to the Mustard Seed) that we were involved in and what a HUGE success it was!  For those new to us, throughout the year, we have been working very hard with our students to recognize the importance of giving back to their community.  We would like to participate in this project again this year.  If we could have each student bring in $2 for this project, it will be used to purchase the sandwich items (bread, ham, mustard, butter, cheese slices, Ziploc bags).  Thank you for your support, it is greatly appreciated.
