Remembrance Day

Dear Mom and Dad:

We had a beautiful Remembrance Day assembly in the morning. Ask me to tell you about it. It was a time for reflection and remembering and was beautifully led by grade ¾’s.

We teamed up with grade ¾ ‘s from Mrs. Bowles, Mr. Russel and Mrs. Peterson to do some buddy reading. It was so exciting to get to read with older buddies. Ask me to tell you who my buddy was and what books I listened to.

There is no school on Monday and Tuesday. See you Wednesday. Have a great long weekend.

Love,
The Rainbow Triad

Housekeeping:

We are going on a field trip to the Telus Sparks Centre on Wednesday November 19 for the entire school day. Please make sure your child has returned their fieldtrip forms.

Mrs. Ly is looking for a parent volunteer from her group to help with the home reading program.  It will require a couple of hours once a week. Please e-mail lmnguyen@cbe.ab.ca if you are available.

We will be starting our inquiry for building in a few weeks. We are looking for materials that students can experiment with. If you, or your neighbors have items such as: cereal boxes, paper towel rolls, coffee tins, pringle cans, cardboard etc. Anything that we can build with! We will be asking students to bring these items on the week of November 12. It would be great if you could start collecting now. Thank you!

  1. Sadie said I should comment if she has supplies for the building. She will bring them to school on Wednesday
