Telus Sparks Field Trip

Dear Mom and Dad:

We had an amazing day today at the Telus Sparks Science Centre! a HUGE thank you to all of our parent volunteers. We appreciate your support and could not have done it without you.

We are an amazing triad. Overall we were really respectful and represented Cranston well. Great job. Our teachers are gleaming with pride :)

Question of the day: Post on the blog some things you experienced today during our field trip.

Love,
Rainbow Triad

Housekeeping:

Photo retake orders are due back Monday November 21.

We have three blog postings for each teacher to post what items you will be able to donate. Please post on the blog “Families helping families” under your child’s teacher if you are able to help. Thank you so much!

We are looking for materials that students can experiment with. If you, or your neighbors have items such as: cereal boxes, paper towel rolls, coffee tins, pringle cans, cardboard etc. Anything that we can build with! Thank you.

There is no school this Friday because of PD day.

  1. Abby says: The theatre where you can control things, using different objects to make buildings, the tubes with pumped up air that makes a ball float. So much fun today!

  4. Morgan told us about the cloud machine. She said she "shot" some teenagers with the cloud machine that were also visiting the centre. She also liked building with the pipes and connectors.

  6. Tori was very excited about the climbing wall & the play structure. She also mentioned her group did some building. She really likes the wall you could paint without color, just using a brush & water she said looked dirty. :) sounds like lots of fun!

  11. Aaron enjoyed making clouds and shooting them, making a school building with pipe connectors . The best part was getting my handprints on the wall without using any paint.

  13. Taylor says we went in a big round thing and crashed through blue block that was really fun and set up cannons and kids blew them at each other. I loves it all equally! We explored and went into the jungle gym and made soccer balls out of magnets and we built a car out of blocks and when's that could really move when you pushed a button because it has a spring that made it bounce. We called it a too-much-seats because it had more seats than my Ford.
