Wonderful Wednesday

Dear Mom and Dad:

In the morning we used our planning from writing yesterday to build on these ideas. We talked about making our writing interesting to paint a picture in the reader’s mind. For example: instead of saying “I have brown hair.” I could write “I have long brown hair that looks like curly fries when it is curly.”

Mrs. Ly and Miss. Deobald’s class had music today.

We got through a couple rounds of Daily 5. We are trying to keep on building our stamina of independent literacy work. We had to do a few practices today to get back into the routine. We also shopped for new books today for our book bins.  

We worked on our story map in our visual journals. I have already written what has happened at the beginning of the story and today I added what has happened in the middle of the story.

Amber Stewart, CBE School Trustee and Sydney Smith, CBE Area Director will be there to answer any questions we may have and address any concerns about this new project on the Cranston horizon.
