Dear Mom and Dad,
This morning we spent some time with the Giant Floor Map. We talked about Canada's endangered species and how the National Parks protect them. We also talked about migration.
In the afternoon, we broke into teams of city planners, and began our planning process. We thought about what a city needs and then as a team, we chose buildings that our city needed. We drew a plan of our buildings. Tomorrow, we will hopefully begin building our cardboard city. I wonder if there will be any challenges along the way?

Riley said he is making a tower, that is a sports complex so that people can be active! My building will have all sports!

ReplyDeleteAnya will be building a hotel with an outdoor swimming pool. She says it is important to the city because it is a place to stay while you find a house.

ReplyDeleteMorgan is making a condominium project with a pool. The pool area sounds quite elaborate :)

ReplyDeleteLincoln is making the Calgary Tower. He said it's important to look around in the building. He's going to add a ^, II, and lots of lines coming to the sides.

ReplyDeleteAbby says she is building an old fashion stadium. This way if people need to gather for a concert, hockey or to just hang out there is somewhere to go.
ReplyDeleteI am building a hotel with a pool, restaurant and waterslide. People will need a nice place to stay when they come to the city.
ReplyDeleteTaylor says I am building a pet store for people to come buy pets. It will have pets, pet food, bath station for the pets and a place for them to wait for their new people.
