Dear Mom and Dad:
These are our new words for the week:
Grade 1: down, find, for, funny, go
Grade 2: best, both, call, cold, does
Please go over these words with me. I should be able to find
these words in books and the environment and spell the words as well.
We finished up our “All About Me” books. They are looking
great! We are making sure that we are using neat printing and staying in the
lines. We also talked about how the pictures should match the words and that
our illustrations should be Big, Bold
and Bright.
Today we got into groups and read a some non-fiction books.
We had to find out what we notice is the same and different from non-fiction
books versus fiction books. We will need to be able to understand non-fiction
books as we move into our inquiry about arctic animals.
Question of the day: What are some features that your
discovered about non-fiction books?
Love,
The Rainbow Triad
