Thoughtful Thursday

Dear Mom and Dad:

Mrs. McEvoy’s class worked with an artist from the Leighton Art center in the morning. Ask me to tell you what kind of art we did.

Mrs. Ly and Ms. Deobald’s class had a baby visit today for Roots of Empathy. Ask me to tell you some of the differences I saw in our baby since their last visit.

We learned a lot about Nunavut and came up with some wonder questions. We realized that we were able to answer some of the questions already through some research and reading information.

We had dance today with Mrs. Janelle. Our Mount Royal Student teachers are back today! They were with us before the winter break in the mornings and now they will be joining us every afternoon on Thursdays.

Ask me to tell you what I did in word work today. We each got into our groups.

Question of the day: Why does the sun set at 3 pm in Nunavut but later in Calgary?

Love,
The Rainbow Triad

Housekeeping:

These are our new words for the week:

Grade 1: down, find, for, funny, go

Grade 2: best, both, call, cold, does

Please go over these words with me. I should be able to find these words in books and the environment and spell the words as well.

Please sign the report card envelopes and return it back to the school with your child. Thank you.
